We all think of starting the New Year off with ideas of changes and fresh starts but much of that gets lost within a month or so. I think it's Springtime, with the budding tress and flowers that really inspires us to renew and refresh - let go of your winter self. It always comes down to making a decision but something about sunshine and fresh air makes it feel more real. Here in the Greater Cleveland area we have one of the most impressive park systems in the nation with the Emerald Necklace. If you started today and took a 30 minute walk every day, you would find that within three weeks your body has taken on a whole new look. Now, add to that some conscious water drinking and a few minutes of conscious deep breathing and you begin to own your life. You may need a little reprogramming to have this as your natural pattern along with conscious eating and eliminating the intake of toxins but it is all there waiting for you especially as the weather gets more pleasant and inviting.
Have you heard of "mindfulness meditation?" I started using it last year walking in the metroparks. My entire consciousness was on the walking - every step, the feeling in my body, my foot along the path, the smell of the air and sounds of the animals. The brain clearing was indescribable. I found myself a mile down the path without even knowing that I had walked that far. I used the walking as a time of prayer and clarity. It was a gift to my Self.
If that first step is a struggle I can help you with the hypnosis. It takes away the obstacles in your thinking. If you don't feel any obstacles popping up in your brain then get moving today. You will feel better in so many ways. If you have a friend that's great, the conversation improves your breathing. If you don't have anyone available then I recommend music, audiobooks or the beautiful sounds of nature and a meditating mind - my favorite.
The Cuyahoga County Library has books on little tiny audio players with headphones. Super convenient. See you on the path!!
